No one in Leeds should have to go hungry. St Vincent’s emergency food parcel service helps families and individuals in a crisis when they have no other means of support.
Food parcels provide food for three full meals a day for three days, household essentials, toiletries and personal hygiene products. For families with babies and young children, we can help by providing nappies, wipes and baby food.
The service helps people through what may be the most worrying time they ever face, giving emergency help in a friendly, non-judgemental setting, restoring dignity and self-esteem. People are encouraged to access the other services at St Vincent’s to get expert help and tackle underlying issues.
At Christmas we distribute Christmas Hampers with food and festive treats and give presents to local children who would not receive anything otherwise.
St Vincent’s is a member of Leeds Food Aid Network working in partnership to reach people across Leeds and fight the growing food poverty crisis.
The food parcel service is run by volunteers and relies on donations from the public to run and help families facing destitution.
